The Child Care Director Credential Training Program
- Job-specific training designed to increase the skills and knowledge of practicing directors and those who aspire to become a director in the future.
- Practical, relevant and comprehensive information – meaning that it addresses the range of skills needed to manage a program.
- Appropriate regardless of prior professional preparation and formal education.
Eight training modules provide 120 hours of classroom instruction,
plus the 15-hour Module Nine Integration Module:

Successful completion of the training program includes:
- Full attendance at all Modules
- Successful and timely completion of all homework assignments
- Successful and timely completion of all evaluations
- Successful completion of Module Nine: The Integration Unit
Individuals successfully completing the training program are awarded the Director’s Credential and earn the professional recognition, C.D., from the Office for Children and Youth, Mississippi Department of Human Services.
